man, are these are some huge sidewalk poos!
the first is on Clark St just north of 15th:
the second in the middle of Dearborn park:
WTF? these are by no means overlooked ‘orphan poos’.
aren’t these our neighbors taking a big ‘ol fart in the faces of the people around them?
or were they out-of-towners?
or alienated big-city youth?
or timid and shy ‘i can’t pick that up!’ poo cowards?
hmm… 🙂
This is an awesome website. I have not laughed so hard in a long time. Keep up the good work. I plan to faithfully follow this blog & grade the poop. I am new at this but this one’s obviously a C+ (based on points for sheer amount from a single dog, #of pieces, color, texture, grouping, style, originality)
Since I live out in the country and have no dog in this hunt so to speak I have no opinion on whether to scoop poop or not one way or the other. It never occurred to me before yesterday to even think about a dog’s poop. My only interest is strictly for the humor and I mean no harm to anyone. I love dogs and have 3 of my own and their poops are of the teacup variety–not impressive at all. I am sure as big as Chicago is that there are some pooches out there who can really poop up a storm and I look forward to seeing the pictures.
Agreed, it’s an urban issue, not a rural one.
A reasonable estimate is that we have ~15000+ people and ~1500+ dogs* living in the ~0.84 square miles* of the South Loop. But only something like ~66 acres* of that is accessible outdoor area (sidewalks and parks).
That’s 22 dogs/acre*.
That’s a lot of dog poop.
